PostSubject: Parting out 93 Fleetwood   Wed Jun 10, 2009 5:36 am

I have decided that I will never have the time money or energy to do any thing with this car so its time to make it go away. Anyone want/need and thing off a 93 fleetwood with 177k, bunch of rust, and optional swiss cheese floor? Let me know.

I have posted pictures here... http://www.inegma.net/mb/index.php?showtopic=7561

I might be interested in the carpet and mats.

Thanks for the generous offer Bill but I couldn't do that to you. The gas tank is already gone. And I am using this as a means to get the money to finish the Impala.

Jim, the carpets and mats are already out of the car and in the trunk.

These seats would just bolt right into a Caprice right? Would they plug right into my current seat controls? Crovo you've gotta know this?

Those seats look Mmmm Comfy.

They bolt in just like stock but the plug may not match up. I think it has to do with the memory seats... But you could make it work fairly easily, especially if you have Chris cut the harness off the floor for you, so you have the plug end.

I'm told the rear seats won't work though, cuz the seat back is taller. But that's just from the interwebs... Wink

Hey Fishah, Everything works with enough hammering and some good pliers. As for the wiring let me know if you need help and I'll bring my box o goodies to give you some help.

The basic plug for the controls on the door are the same. You will have to add a power source for the recline, and heat.(everything is on the seat). Your best bet would be to take as much of the harness as you can get from the fleetwood.

Electronics is NOT my strong suit. But if ya'll think I could make it work I'd love to give it a try.

No big deal if the rears don't fit... I think they look like the same color as my seats currently....

How much for the front seats and as much wiring as I can snatch?

Yes the should be the same color. I will remove the harness all the way as close to the fuse block as I can get. I also have the service manual for this car so I can copy the related wiring diagrams to make installation easier.

$50.00 sound fair?

No not all the seat controls are. The 8 way switch is on the door just like the Caprice. Its just the heat, lumbar, and recline that are on the seat if I recall.

I will not be able to make it to Mod day. I will be driving back from Carlisle that day.

I know how you feel about that gm nationals thing. I have been "trying" to go for 5 plus years, but every year something comes up. I even had to turn around and come home one year because my wife was sick. Hopefully this year is the year.

I am in Concord, NH, but I could meet you some where if that makes it eaiser.

Sunday is going to be tough, we are going to my parents house in southern MA, which almost sounds like its a good thing except I dont have a vehicle that will transport the seats and the kids. Do you go to Salem first thing Saturday morning? I could meet you at 8:-ish but I would need to be back home by 9:15-9:30 because my wife has a bridal shower to go to and I am on kid duty.

It's going to be July soon. You better rush and get them heated seats put in, otherwise you might get chilly during the friggid July and August months Laughing

I should shut up. I'm putting in a new heater core in a couple weeks Embarassed

Chris, this Saturday would be great for me....

Maybe you saw my post in the problems/maint. section though.... At this point I have no car whatsoever. When I get the car fixed I'll drive up to your house some evening and grab the seats if that is ok with you. Sorry for the trouble.
