PostSubject: 89 caprice I just picked up   Sun Mar 03, 2013 11:24 pm

after my failed adventure to pick up a low mile 95 9c1 I decided to stick to my guns and look for a 86-90 caprice. After weeks of scouring the internet I came up with this 98,000 mile 89 caprice in rhode island for 1500 bucks.. ZERO rust and rot... must have been garaged most of its life

when I picked it up, blocked fuel filter and everything!

buffed it up and installed some dog dishes after base/clearing the wheels black..put 2500watts of radio goodness in too.

looking sharp!!

did the open element deal underhood, the tbi is loud now!

went to get new sway bars off an ad on craigslist... ended up being matt tracker from this forum!! small world huh?

these outa help the old boat..

LOL, nice meeting you the other day Paul! Did you get a picture of that weird guy on the Hoverround that accosted us out of nowhere? Laughing

That car looks sauce'm with the dog dish hubcaps on it going down the road, for sure. Seeing it makes me want to buy a boxy.

That pic that porklops posted is in the REI parking lot in Reading, next to Dunkin Donuts. Dude came out of nowhere, in between the two cars, smiling at us with an entire bagel in his mouth, looking like Elwood Blues chewing bread with his mouth open at the Chez Paul...lol. He asked what we were doing in sort of a slight foreign accent then insinuated something with a perverted gesture punching his fist into his other hand, then asked if we were looking for "broads"... Laughing He hung around for a few minutes then disappeared as quick as he'd appeared in the first place, it was really bizarre...haha.

Oh yeah, now I recognize that fancy Chinese food joint in the corner of the pic. Awesome boxy score too, btw. Arrow
