PostSubject: Looking for a treadmill...   Sun Mar 03, 2013 10:32 pm

Anyone have one collecting dust? I'm about ready to drop good money on a new one, figure id see if there was a decent used one first...

I hate to be picky, but due to my size it needs to have a decently long platform (I have a long stride) and strong weight capacity of about 300 lbs (I'm 250 and uncoordinated/no rhythm)

Thanks,

Doug

I have one that folds up to reduce overall space and has a built in auxiliary plug and speakers for ipod/ phone radio and etc. I think my girl paid like 650 a year ago. Let me know if you are interested. I have had it sitting in the corner, I just have to double check and make sure I have everything for it.

Interested. Can you get me the exact model? I just need to make sure it can handle my bulk. My wife can use the one we got last year, but it won't even let me WALK on it...lol

One i had did the same thing, would stop all of a sudden, and toss my fat ass over the bars. I crushed it with the backhoe. Got another one.

I am going to hold off for now on that one, I may come back to you though. The weight rating is fine, but the platform may not be big enough for my long stride, I'll let you know.

Thanks, I hate to be picky, but for how big I am, I already have a treadmill I cant use...lol

Glad I'm not the only one this happens to! This happened to me at Planet Fitness last year. I can't run on them or else I fall on my ass and look like a beached guppy.

I have one sitting in my garage. My uncle bought it maybe 15 years ago. Nordictrack I think, model I'd need to check. It is heavy as hell, and I had the original receipt that showed that he paid something like $2k for it, so it isn't some low-end jokester model. My wife used to use it on our three-season room, but that's become a playroom now. I'll ask her if she wants to hold on to it for any reason.

What are you looking to spend?
