new toy next weekend, 95 9c1

had a hot rodded 86 caprice a few years ago and regretted selling it. well recently decided to look for another caprice. Called about a 94 police package station wagon and instead put a deposit on a 95 9c1 detectives car with 39,000 miles on it!! pics look good going down to Pa next weekend to pick it up! always wanted something lt1 powered. Wonder what mods I should throw at it first?

NICE! Doing it right and getting a clean car! That thing is definitely worth the travel!

its costing me 4 grand but hey, how often does a clean 9c1 with those kind of miles come up for sale? freshly retired from a small new jersey town.

Wow, that's nuts. It's not even a strip down one or anything either...pretty cool.

The side moldings look faded like most gold ones I've seen, but part of me thinks it would be cool to repaint them and leave them on there since you don't often see the 9c1s with that option on them!

this guy is in Pa, its called pcs auto and he sells nothing but police cars. he usually has 15-20 crowns vics and 5 or 6 caprices on hand, including a beautiful black and white 94 1a2 wagon with only 107k on it.

I know who that is, always see that wagon on craigslist. I always wondered if it's a true 1A2 or not.

The Wagon is NOT a true 1A2. The PD simply painted it Black and White to match their fleet paint scheme. Nice find on the 9C1...I have never seen a Gold exterior with a Blue interior...that's an odd ball for sure.

My mod list would comprise of...change the fluids...fill the tank with gas...drive on nice sunny days and enjoy. That dealer lists his stuff on CL all the time. Rarely replies and never sends quality pictures...glad he took the time to reply to you.

Looks like a grey interior.

Chris bowtiepimp had a gold caprice with blue guts. It didn't come gold from the factory but it looked nice.

9C1 with grey guts, don't see many of those. Nice score. can't beat the miles, or the price really.

I broke down the vin # on that compnine vin decoder and it comes out as a 95 9c1, gold with grey interior, oh!! and posi, you know... for fun, I figured that wagon was a real 1a2 because it has the certified cluster in the dash but im a little green still.. but im a 14 year bodyman and a pretty smart guy so ill soak up alot of knowledge about these cars in short order

The green silicone hoses would be a pretty good giveaway. (not many wagon people would swap those in).

When you pickup that 9C1, snap a pic of that "1A2" vin, lets end this once and for all

Ill bring my camera and snap a bunch of the other caprices and whatnot down there. Im stumped.. wagon has certified dash but doesn't have green hoses so Ill try to solve the mystery when I go this weekend..... this is going to be the longest week ever, waiting to go pick this beast up. goodbye toyota corolla, hello comfort!
