That's alright Tim, all the other GM parts are made in Korea and even better, China, now too.

GM has been selling stuff like that for at least 25 years. This is nothing new. People need inexpensive transportation. Personally, I would rather some money go to GM/dealers/sales/techs than buyers going to foreign makes. Someone buying one of these may turn into a Chevy/Buick/Caddy buyer someday...

^Agreed. I don't think I'd drive one but don't forget the Chevette was a part of the T-car platform back in the 70s...that was sold all over the world including in Korea, under different brands including the Isuzu Gemini...people bash the Chevette also but it was used for autocrossing and such in Opel form over in Europe!

That car is the size of the sander in the back of the plow truck at work...Actually it may be smaller...LOL
But seriously Al, how exactly did you get that ON the lift? Are the arms too long for the car?

I pulled up behind a brand new Chevy Spark near Liberty Chevrolet a couple days ago and immediately thought of this thread, then realized how small the damned thing was. It's almost Smart Car proportions! The guy inside looked like he was in some sort of escape pod launched from a spaceship...

I would love to see one of these Sonic's in a crash test against a pickup truck.
Understanding there is an ass for everyseat, but at some point, the odds catch up to everyone and a choice of a vehicle will be the difference between your life and death.
Run far from these eco death traps. I dont care if its wrapped in a air bag. You are not walking away unscathed in a wreck

Sprained collar bone, I wore a kick ass sling for six weeks.
Now if the same thing happened in a tiny little toy car like that....who knows...

If you put a penny in the slot on the back of a Chevy Sonic, will it pop a wheelie across your kitchen floor, before rolling underneath the Maytag dishwasher on casters with the cutting board on top of it?
