PostSubject: Maybe I do find good deals   Fri Jan 25, 2013 5:08 pm

I've been scrounging to get the caprice done enough to get the garage opened up to start parting some stuff. I haven't found a LS motor for the 72 that I can afford. So I been searching for an lm7 (standard truck 5.3). That I could continue my build, it's been idle for a year.

As luck would have it Today I found a complete truck (minus wheels). 2000 5.3 4x4 z71 loaded, leather, x cab. $1000.

It's rusty, and not roadable. Going to part it. Save what I need and sell the rest. Maybe I'll come out ahead.
Buddy had it, told me to come get it when the snow melts. It's a long hike 3 hours one way, but I think it's a great find for my 72 project.

And when I find/afford the L33 ill put this motor in my 95 caprice. Suspect

And all this on a full moon Friday.

I saw that l33. But if I'm going to spend that much, I want a reputable place, I/e bow auto, or someone like that.

If that 2000 has the dark charcoal leather, and the driver's seat is in good shape, I'd be interested in it. Smile
