Well, if by Santa, you mean me. And by brought, you mean I went to the store and purchased. Razz

This weapon is a Smith & Wesson SD9 9mm 16+1.
Light weight, high capacity, easy to fire, easy to conceal and carry.

Nice Billy- I think I'm going to try and invest in both a course and a firearm this year instead of throwing money at car things and such. I've put it off long enough, I've been wanting a 1911 for a few years now, my friend had a really nice new S&W 1911 a couple of years ago that he traded to a shop for a S&W .357, whatever the version that holds 7 rounds is (not an expert here lol). I'm unsure if my town is one of those ones where no one can get a CCW, though.

Thanks guys
I chose this weapon over a Glock 9x19 9mm because of price, and price only. Both offer high capacity, and light weight. Yet the SD9 is nearly $200 cheaper. I also picked the 9mm version for the same reason. Ammo is cheaper.

I swear to God that I'm the only guy in the country who didn't go buy guns this past couple weeks. The thought never even entered my mind... Neutral

That's cool Bill. Guns are not for everyone. This is not my first rodeo. I have been around guns most of my life.

As for your question. You might be. All my in laws, and most everyone at work have made purchases in the last few weeks.

I was planning on getting one with my tax return anyways, I just got one sooner because I was not sure if I would be able to get one by then.

My next purchase

Lazer light

You wouldn't want this to happen would you?

I'm for people owning guns, but for me only if it's necessary. If I lived in the woods I'd have one just in case I'm out walking a meet up with a bear or something. Right now where I live I don't need one yet. Eventually I'll probably have one, but only if I feel it's necessary.

Did bears start carrying guns in Mass? scratch

And that would never happen to Bill. He sold his walker. Razz

Werd. I'm as much of a gun nut as the next dude, but I'm waiting for the "rush" to pass before I go buy anything else.

Santa did buy me a very nice, large gun safe though..problem is that it makes me NEED more guns to fill it!

Yeah, I'm pissed about this...I was already planning to get one in the future but this hysteria is pretty crazy.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/5-56-223-AR15-M4-magazines-/160946970326?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item25792fded6

WTF?

I just want my 1911. Crying or Very sad

Matt, I looked it up, Reading is a "Red" town, where as N. Reading, Wilmington, Stoneham, Malden, Tewksbury, Lynnfield, etc. are green. Screw me, right?

I guess it's on a case by case basis and YMMV...I'd like to think that a sane, law-abiding citizen such as myself who takes a course would be more likely to succeed but who knows... Surprised

No billy, but the point is if I met one (with or without a gun) while living in the deep woods I'd want a gun. But seeing as I don't...why do I need one? Last I checked bears do plenty of damage without guns pirat

I've had a Connecticut pistol/revolver permit for 20 years and, considering that I live in a city with more than its share of thugs, I carry. I started with a Colt Series 80 1911 and then over the years, worked my way down in size because the big iron was just too heavy to carry and conceal. These days, I carry a S&W 38 cal. Airweight (16.5 ounces) or a Colt Mustang .380. The Mustang - with the right holster - is the most comfortable gun that I have ever carried.

That Smith in 9mm is a really nice gun, but 16 rounds? Just too heavy for me to carry. But, if you're ever in Connecticut, I'd love to put 100 rounds or so through it just to see how it shoots. I'll even buy the ammo.

Bill

Feels really good to me. I had a glock 9mm with 19 round mags before. It was heavy too me.

Now I have more ammo, and more tomorrow.
