That car is nothing short of amazing, I've always loved it, that's my kind of "head-turner". Thanks for posting it!

Saw this on Jalopnik or Autoblog a couple years ago. I've been in love with it ever since. Such an awesome car. Arrow

Wish i could find a nova/malibu in that good original shape. I got a nasty DZ (not the real block) 302 built motor that would make a small car scream. Not 1200 HP scream, but enough to get it rolling good. lol

DZ was only 69 in the DZ 302 69 z28 camaro. Engine was built to those specs, turns 7200 rpm, not sure of the HP yet.

Was in a car my dad bought years ago. And I'm going to shoehorn it into a car soon.

It was in the 67 and 68 Z28s also, although alot rarer than the 69. Factory claimed 290 HP which was a joke and was believed to be over 400 in real life.

My bad. I thought the 67-68 were race engines (used for trans am racing) and it wasnt used untill 69 as a production.

Ill get some pics next time I'm in his shop

Didn't they get installed in all of the street used 67-69 Z/28 Camaros? They had to IIRC for the 500 car homologation rules to run in Trans AM.

67 & 69 had the 327 block and used the 283 crank= 302 ci. In 1969 they utilized the 350 block and can't remember off the top of my head what they used for the crank. A friend of mine had a 69 Z28 with the DZ 302 ci. /M22 four speed.
