If not, it seems to be a HELL of a deal...
My money is on real rig, real rust bucket. That cladding covers a lot of metal and with a hole in the floor listed already, I'm betting it's a rotter. Plus that ratty looking sub setup and cheap wheels scream "kid owned"... Never seen that color though

| Yeah, I love those, but I could find better things to spend that amount on I think. I guess the truck was repainted from black, it would have been cool if that was a rare original color offering... | |

| I know you will all make fun of me for various reasons, but honestly, if I had the cash, I would totally buy this truck and start driving it in the good weather/to shows...lol http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/cto/3560930498.html All I would do is have a second set of Cragar S/S wheels with white letter tires to swap back and forth. Pretty interesting vehicle. Wonder what happened... | |

| I love those trucks. My dad had an '85 Bronco back when those things were new and not rusty...they look sharp when they're in nice condition, clean lines.
I'm totally into clean original stuff like that, total time machine. I don't even care if it's the 300ci six, I'd still buy it!

And yep, it's a B...same underpinnings as my Impala basically, I think the hardtops and convertibles had to have some kind of similar frame reinforcements....I've never actually looked at mine in depth to see if it's braced and stuff actually...

| If you look close, the fenders up front are gone around where the cornering lights are...I'd say it's probably going behind all the lower rocker trim too but only one way to check, otherwise that thing would be a good TBI daily runner with a pair of fenders put on it...and it's an LS Brougham so obviously if you bought it Matt, you'd have mad swag yo... | |

| My dad had one of these things he bought brand new in 1981, but it was beige, a 2.2 liter, and was the Dodge version (had the Shelby Charger looking taillights) My father parked it with about the same mileage as this one had because it needed a brake job and he bought a Bronco to solve the problem. It sat next to our garage for the next 10 years or so... I can't remember the last time I saw one in person! http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/cto/3570409623.html | |

http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/cto/3569018640.html I had the exact same car, but navy/navy with the 6.0 368 in it. Took my driving lessons in it and everything, I loved it, but it got rearended and totaled. Not the greatest engine ever, but was the last of the big-block Cadillac engines. Mine was a 1980...the '81s had that engine too, but it was TBI and had a cylinder deactivation system on it coupled to an overdrive tranny. Allegedly it was pretty problematic, but the engine was fine and a single wire deactivated the deactivation system...lol After that, they came with that awful 4.1 liter engine. They blow head gaskets and all kinds of other BS. I would honestly never buy one unless I had some idea for a motor swap lined up afterward...those cars aren't really worth a whole lot because of the 4.1, sucks but at the same time can be a good thing for an LS swap if you pick one up cheap... I've often wondered if the FWD 4.5 liter engines could go in these cars as an almost direct swap. They're related. I bet the RWD ones were different or some nonsense... Some of those came with a 4.1 Buick V6 in them too, and I believe they were also labeled as having an HT4100 in them, but I could be off on that. Either way, I would drive one of those with the 6cyl before a 4.1 V8! That one has been on CL for a while, was listed in Peabody before. It's a nice car, I know sometimes people need to sell things after someone passes on, but personally I would want to keep something like that in the family...I don't think they'll get 4500 for it.

| Also, I LOVE the ones with no vinyl top on them. That is a super-rare option (or no-charge option delete, whatever it was), even when I still saw those cars around on the streets back in the 90s, very, very few had that setup. Mine had the vinyl top with opera lights on it. They worked! | |

| Haha. No worries. Someday I'll look for another one... The funny thing is I know exactly where the pictures of that Coupe were taken too, in Peabody. It's in the same neighborhood that had the crazy Christmas light display back in the 80s and maybe early-mid 90s.
This is kinda interesting...

I personally like the color, but I come from a family that's had several beige/cream colored cars, so maybe I'm just used to it being around...my '74 is kind of close to that too except in some light it looks more like a coffee color, and more yellow in others. The color is "Sandstone Beige"...

There's one of these in Ware, MA... I saw it the other day while exploring the new area we live in, I was gonna post it in "highways and backroads" but couldn't snap a pic while driving by, it definitely sticks out! Bizarre that they chose to use this color. Just doesn't flow with the rest of the available palate of choices. I give it a thumbs up. Dare to be different!
