| I'm pretty sure someone in NH could buy this, register it, then make it so the car could be sold in MA and get a title? | |

| Matt, buy this car and ditch the cougar! Winter beater (that fits at the meets), plenty o room parts hauler, TBI car no lt1, what's to think about here! Don't say $$ either cuz scrap yard will give you $450 for a drivable car (cougar).
DOOOOOOOOO IT!!!

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I'm not going to scrap a running and driving car that has NEVER left me stranded and comes back from all of the teenage abuse I've thrown at it. Sorry, but if I was going to do that, it would be for a box Caprice or a Silverado/Sierra. I would absolutely refuse to accept 450 bucks for a car that starts right up and gets me to school/work/where ever my adventure takes me for the night without any trouble. Yes the tranny acts funny and slips here and there, but for some unexplained phenomenon it hasn't blown, even while doing brake stands! It has no rear brakes, the calipers are siezed up, but it still stops on a nickel, which is good enough for me . And yes, the front end is a little er..bad. I have no intention of replacing anything though, because a few clunks and my used tires being worn out once a year...yeah not worried about it, it's a beater. And plus, it's a V8 that I go a little fast in sometimes and it still gets about 20MPG mixed. Not complaining here. The thing doesn't even have 100K on it yet. I'm running her until she quits. Sorry to jack the thread, but it seems I've got to make this point every six months or so . I know it's a FERRRRRRD and they are TURRRRRRDS! But hey, it's much better to know your enemy

| If that car had a very clean set of front fender well housings and an equally nice radiator support (straight & rust-hole free) then it could be well worth it for me, just on those pieces alone.
But that depends on two things, first: are 91-93 radiator supports and fender wells the same as on my 96?
And, secondly: how far away is the car from Long Island, N.Y.?

| man o man theres a reason we love these cars, today went over, threw a battery in it, unplug the coil and spun it a bit to get some oil thru it. put the coil wire on and started like in 2 turn even with gas that 3 plus years old, backed it up out of the way,man i feel sick this was going to be my baby, spent many a nites thinks of things i wanted to do... but not my time, when a door closes another opens, machine de zine.. iirc the old guy told me the hit a deer years ago (he died) and things got replaced want i dont know, ill check but the nose is in great shape it will b a few days b4 im back over to the old house, i live in groton ct | |
