PostSubject: Collector insurance and appraisals   Wed Dec 05, 2012 9:47 pm

Thoughts? experience?

I obviously have more into my car than an insurance payout would be, so I want to make sure I'm covered.

Who has used what agencies? Should i Get a private appraisal first?

TIA

I have a friend that uses Hagerty and says it was dirt cheap and recommends it highly. Smile

You can always just "buy" more insurance for it, too, with your current insurer.

I have never gotten a car appraised before, but I can assure you when the caprice goes back on the road it will get one. I'm in the same boat with taking suggestions on what to do, there is no way I'm letting the insurance company screw me over with this car ever again.

You just tell your insurance company what you want it insured for.
They'll have you go to one of thier approved apppraisers....he/she will confirm your #
Pay the premium & your done.

This route is for garage / trailer queens

All offer certain restrictions & many dont offer comp...so your existing policy does that.

Dont think this is what you need?

I went back & forth with Sneed way back when...it is cheap but is supplemental
I think they sold out & thier policies are being re-upped at more money
I just dont see it as worth it (unless Chris drives your car... Shocked... Razz )
