| 1955 pretty sure it's a series 62 (deville) NOT the sixty special (fleetwood) can't tell till I get the damn doors open and check the numbers. All original! most of the floors are toast Engine is original, 331 all there as well as the 4 speed auto. Rockers are GONE, bumper ends= garbage Dagmars might be savable.
Plan is to stretch my 96 fleetwood frame and drop this shell channeled to the rockers onto it. I'd like to rebuild the 331 and have it all OEM besides the frame, but I'm gonna run the lt1 for simplicity for now. Gotta replace rockers and other metal first and try and get the doors and trunk working.

| Dude, that's sweet. Are you gonna leave the body alone aside from repairing rot?
LOL @ dagmars...
There is a guy in the Beverly area with one like that, the whole car has this original Southwest appearing patina on it, it's slammed, on wide whites, and when he pops the hood, the entire engine bay is all detailed and clean with the original (I think) drivertrain all restored...it's awesome!

| Id like to keep it as is but alot of areas look like if I sand it, it'll turn to dust. Everyone knows I'm the man in black when it comes to paint. But a pastel mint green or a powder blue or pink isn't out of the question I'd like to finish it in the idea of the fleetwood:
Body=satin black Bumpers, dagmars, other chrome trim=high gloss black Spiderweb grille Brass knuck's Black leather tuck n roll interior Slammed Stock 15" steelies Wide whites Shaved everything!
I'd love to chop the top but I have no skillz there and a pro chop on a bubble glass windshield car like this would be like $8-10k not gonna happen. So I'll leave it alone.

| This is actually a really strange story. First off I was gonna trade my 36 chevy to a guy in Bourne,MA for a 50 Buick special he had. Same wheelbase as the fleetwood brougham (121.5") I was set to go, ready to take the ride and do the deal. Being a Virgo I start doing what I do, OCD'in about parts and researching everything. I go on Craigslist looking and I find another one in Waltham, MA at rte 128 used auto parts, It's a 1950 Buick super.... As I'm lookin at the pics I spy an old caddy tail light just to the edge of the pic. Now my interest is piqued and I gotta investigate. I type in Cadillac and then the years starting in the 40's. Finally find it at 1955. Called him up, and he said he bought couple (7 cars total) at an estate sale. This caddy drove onto some dudes lawn and it was left there. I ask what he wants for the whole car, he says I think each one is worth $2500... I say can you do better than that? What's the bottom dollar? He replies $2000. I end up going down and checking it out. He was a really nice guy. I start lookin all bummed out and kicking the gravel and what not and he asks what I think... "she's rougher than I thought, $2k is really the best you can do?" he replies $1500. I stopped him there but I bet I could have gone down another $500. But he offered delivery as well. I been grinning like a Cheshire cat since. If ANYONE has an interest in a classic car please go there! That b-body 1950 Buick was bitchin'! He also had 2 1964 Lincoln continentals I bet you could steal them up! He seemed like he was really interested in getting these out of his yard. Also had a 56 imperial with a hemi And a 58 new yorker. An old MG 47 ford pickup And a 1950 dodge Wayfarer!!!!! | |

| I really want a 50s Buick. I really don't have the money right now. That caddy is bad ass. Leave that patina alone!!!!!! | |

| Dude, I was gonna ask you if it was 128 Used Auto Parts from the looks of the pics. I've heard they sell a lot of donated cars there or something too. They'd been advertising an Olds 98 that was in an accident in 1972, and parked in a body shop since, lol. Don't know if that's still up. The funny thing about that yard is the Mass Central went right through it, and the RR bridge still goes over 128. | |

| Yeah lots of donated cars get collected there. We actually drove through the yard in a shitbox ricer with bad cv's or struts to the top of the hill where all the classics are parked. He told me he crushes NOTHING! lol. | |

| I think everyone called them Dagmars because of some 50s actress with huge knockers that went by that name, lol. I saw a pic in Road and Track once of a guy who put a bra across them with a long string connecting the two sides in the middle... I'm gonna have to check out that junkyard, I've never actually been to it, just drove down the access road once to turn around when I was all lost trying to find some girls house in Newton... | |

| Your correct, dagmar bumpers we nicknamed so after the Blonde actress Dagmar (Virginia Ruth Egnor) from the 50's. They are MASSIVE in person!
Definitely check out the old stuff at that yard!
Ok so the car IS a series 62 (deville) 129" wheelbase. Cut the driver door handle off and pried the door open. All handles, cranks, knobs FROZEN! Gonna be some serious work! But well worth it. More Pics when the snow melts away.
