Coil Wire repair Empty
PostSubject: Coil Wire repair   Coil Wire repair EmptyFri May 29, 2009 11:14 am

Two of the three coil wires are broken at the plug...can I repair these? I can't figure out for the life of me how to take the plug apart...

Better yet, can I trace back to a pigtail somewhere and just take it off the parts car or are we talking about some splicing here?

Thanks guys,

Doug

There are special tools to remove the pins. Sometimes you can get them out with a thin paper clip or such. Reusing the pins might also be difficult. There shoudl be aftermarket pigtails.

Found one (maybe the wrong year?):

Try Robins outo parts. They carry pig tails directly from ACDelco for almost every plug there is.

Thanks guys...I think I'm just going to check the one on the parts car motor, Jim says he does not want the harness so I'll part that out over time I guess and get what I need free...
