| Well, the frame isn't done like I had planned in my (pipe dream) schedule, so I'll need some storage for the winter. I can't keep it in the tent it was in, mostly because that blew away Monday morning. And also because it failed my test of seeing how durable it was in inclement weather, also on Monday. So my question to youz guyz is do any of you know of a reasonably priced storage facilities that will allow me to bolt parts together? No paint, no oil, no engines or anything like that, just putting parts on the frame. It would have to span from say the end of this month until April when I can bring it back home. I don't want to ask you guys specifically because you all need that garage space for your own projects, but I am looking for personal experience with a good storage facility. Heat isn't needed, but a light bulb would help! I'm working on convincing a few friends get their parents to let me shove it in their garages which are normally used as gigantic closets. So far I'm banking on the one with the GT500 to let me assemble in the bay next to it, but nothing is set in stone. Just a question, no need to bend over backwards for me! I won't start sounding desperate until after Dec. 1st! Lets see some answers! TIA guys! | |

Well at least you aren't being a creepy peeker anymore! Was the facility you used during the move a national chain or an independent one location place? If national I'd like to hear how the customer service was like, I know it would vary location to location but a good baseline is nice to have

| If I was closer I'd offer you a bay in the new house, once we move in. but it's actually further than Sturbridge for you.
What about a POD trailer? Ever look into those?
How about a couple 2x4's and some cheap plywood? Build a small "just enough" shed. Do 2x4's 16" on center on the sides and use the plywood on top, get some tarps for the sides No worries about blowing away or snow collapsing the roof. Just make sure to brace the corners with some 45* pieces. Cheaper than 6 mo storage and you can do whatever the heck you want. AND it's not permenant.

A big pod trailer my mom would probably fill with the crap in the basement to be sent out of sight/mind before I even got the frame in it In all honesty though, she wouldn't OK that sitting in the driveway or yard for the winter. Maybe if they didn't come with the HUGE lettering! Thanks for the offer! I wish you lived closer lol! That's the issue with most offers given, accessibility is slim to none and therefore just the same as leaving it in a tent. I'm thinking about building a 21 foot long roof with particle board scraps and tarps stapled to it and raising it a few feet feet off the ground. That's what will happen if I really run into trouble in December or something. Hopefully I will hear about one of the friends' garages this weekend.
