| My car is slowly starting to stink... I keep it clean, but it's getting worse... a very musty smell emanates from the vents What could be causing this? I'd really like to de-stink the car | |

| Does it only stink when you're in the car? Could be nasty rodents and such got into your hvac. See if there's a difference in smell between outside air blowing vs cabin recirculation. Don't be fooled, these cars have no cabin filter. Make sure your cowl is clean too. | |

| Is the passenger side floor wet by any chance? Do you have your ac running all the time? If so, take a look under the hood, passenger side of the firewall. There is a little rubber 90 degree elbow down near the heater hoses. If not, your drip tray could be leaking inside the car. If you need one I'll toss one in the mail for you. I've got like, a hundred. | |

| Yeah. It has been a little wet. I'll take a look. I've had the ac on constant | |

| If its not there, then definitely replace it. Check and if you need one, I will ship one out tm. Just pm me your info. I hope this helps out. I went through this when I first got my 9c1 in 2009. Water puddled on the pass side. I had the the interior out 6 times, drove from socal to mass, and got wicked pissed off before I figured it out. I didn't know a whole lot about these cars at the time. Let's at least eliminate this free quick fix from your list, or move on to the next cause. | |

| FYI you can buy a 90 degree elbow at AZ (or where eva) for $2.49 Ya... I made that price up but its cheap & available immediately & you can actually accomplish it in 5 seconds just feel the size of the outlet... walk in....buy the right size... go into the lot & push it on.... just sayin...
And just so you know, in case you didnt see it written in the ISSF post (that I didnt read), when your DRIVING is when the wind blows onto that outlet & forces the condensate in instead of letting it drip out. | |
