PostSubject: The New and Improved Hooptycaprice   Sun May 17, 2009 8:38 pm

I've had this car for about five years and really did nothing with it because i was so busy with work. Since the layoff on Feb., I found myself with a lot more free time.

Since I went to Tims mod day, I caught the mod bug big time. With limited funds and very limited knowledge on fixing cars, I started with mini mods that I could do on my own. Here is what I got so far.

K&N CAI- I bought the generic Summit one but the K&N came instead. $70 bucks saved!

Home and first plate delete- I had to call Tim for a little guidance Very Happy

Throttle Body Cover- Ebay piece. Used the search button on ISSF for the install info.

LT1 Throttle Body Plate- The gasket was still good! cheers

A New Chrome Grille

SS Wheels- My buddy just put 24s on his DGGM. He gave them to me but need tires. "If its free, its for me" Razz

I have a bowtie trunklid emblem coming, along with chrome rocker mouldings( mine are dented), and a spare pcm so i can send mine out.

All I wanted to say is thanks for getting me interested in my car again. Save the "lower it!" comments. I'm out of $. Sad
Heres some pics

I agree with Bill Jamie. The factory lacy wheels looked good. The SS wheels on a caprice is so played out.

Your next mod is: Throttle Body Bypass! Should take you no more than 15 min. Do a search on ISSF. Car looks real clean. Tom
