I finally got around to installing Gary's Roadmaster/Z28 cluster today!!!! Woot! Smile I'm pretty happy with my install, and it looks killer with the woodgrain! There is still something I need to address with my install though...The cluster moves/floats a bit in its new bracket, and I am not completely happy with the way it is sitting in its bracket at present. It's totally my fault, as I didn't notice it until I had it all buttoned up. I need to take it back out when my green LED's show up anyways, so I'll straighten it out then. Smile

So anyways here's a quick little run through of my install...

I started by removing my cluster. Nice and easy! You take off the two bolts off above the cluster and then the whole dash face (from door to door) just pulls off. Remove the four 7mm screws on the cluster, give it a tug, unclip the PRNDL wire from the column, and you have this:

Then you pop the sockets for the cluster out of their homes so you can move them to install the new cluster:

Not much trimming is needed. I spent about 10 minutes with a dremel. Gary included a template. I put it in place and marked it with a Sharpie and then cut. Be careful when you trim! There is a wiring harness underneath a couple places you cut!:

I marked and cut, but it didn't seem to fit quite right yet, so I trimmed a little more:

Another trial fit. Looked good, so just secure it with the same screws you took out of the stocker. Be careful when you are tightening it down the final time, making sure that the speedo and tach needles aren't stuck under the bracket. (Ask me how I know):

Looks good! So I then put the dash face back on and snapped a few more pics:

And in these pics you can see how nice the wood matches!

I then went under the hood and made the tach connection. Pretty straightforward. Run the included wire to the PCM. Plug it into the red plug, spot 13. I didn't think to take any pics of it though. Sorry! Then all you have to do is swap out the oil pressure sender at the back of the intake, under the EGR. I used one from a 95 Z28. Screwed right into place! Do yourself a favor and grab an "oil pressure sender socket" at Autozone for 10 bucks and make your life a million times easier. Smile

So with those connections made, I was done! I HAVE GAUGES!!!!! Looks factory. No, looks AWESOME! Works great! I'm happy!!!! I'll be even happier when I adjust it a little in the bracket and install my LED's. All in all, it took about an hour to install.

You ABSOLUTELY need one of these!

Thanks Gary!!!! Very Happy
