| So I purchased this last year, and restored it over the winter. It is a 1969 Arkansas 14' aluminum with a 15hp evinrude tiller So we sold it to buy a bigger boat. We found a 79 Glastron V162 fiberglass boat with a 80hp mercury. The hull wound up to be junk, and almost sank the day we took it out. So I did what every sane person does. I cut up the boat into small pieces, and sold the motor and trailer to buy our next boat. After the glastron, I swore I would never buy a fiberglass boat again. So we found this aluminum 15ft 1959 Lone Star Newport with 59 Johnson 35hp sea horse. It will be restored to look like this. Ossipee lake this past sunday. Last year | |

| I got about 500 boats, trust me, they suck ass.
Nice 59 lonestar Newport, but that motor is old and expensive to repair, and parts are getting impossible to find. try to find something newer and put it on that boat.

Wait! What? You have boats? We need to talk. I am planning to update the power with one from the last two decades, and with tilt and trim next year. But for this year, a simple tuneup, and carb rebuild should have us out on the lake soon. The lone star is rated to 70hp. I may look for something from 35-50hp. | |

| Dropped the boat off at the marina last night. The two major problems I see is the plug wires are in bad shape. Looks like they are connected to the magneto. So that will need to be replaced, and the carb needs rebuilding/cleaning and adjusted. The guy I bought it from had been mixing the oil heavy. So much so the the gas looked like crude. I mix 40 to 1. I am going to start looking for a 1980-1995 35-75hp Evinrude 2 stroke with controls and power tilt/trim to replace the old Johnson. | |
