| Anyone know if the 4l60e from a 2002 2wd blazer bolt right into a 1995 impala?

I seem to remember reading that it would not due to a slightly different bolt pattern on the bell housing. I do not think it will handle the torque of an LT1. But neither did the ones that came with the LT1.

| I believe thereis a difference in input shafts or something of the like. I think all 98 and newer 4l60e trans have the different input shaft than previous to 98.

| NO it will not, the newer ones have a separate unboltable bellhousing and are a completely different animal. That's how the silverfox fight started, he wanted the 94 trans and I sold it to a guy with a newer truck. Didn't fit and he returned it. Unless the blazer is a v8 then it might bolt up but I doubt the electronics and internals would work. | |

| If its the 2pc I'm thinking of 1) cut out the hump by the starter if your running headers 2) possibly mill your convertor (depending on what your running) to allow the 3/16 min play 3) rebend/ rerun your transmission cooler lines 4) play inspection plate games (nbd) | |

No way man. Its a weaker version of ours. I know someone who had a k1500 and they have the 4l60e. I was doing a swap. Everything looked right but had weaker internals. I think it was Jasper who he got it from. Finally after the 2nd tranny went they asked more specs...vin and weight of the truck. Someone put it in as a "V8 S10". Looks same but sorry stick with the right one Otherwise your looking at just putting in another one, or two.
