| So I was thinking about this car a lot when I was selling the truck, and Brian had it for sale. It is my favorite color on a b-body, and appeared to be very clean. But I was not really sold on the 4.3, and the caddy came along , but faced with possible tranny issues and the oil leak from hell, I decided the 4.3 powered car was not that bad after all. I have to say, it is really not bad. Does feel like cats may be clogged, or one of the plug wires may be fubar, as it lacks power even for a 4.3 for some reason. So I will have to look into that, but all and all a very nice car. Seems solid, and does what I want it to do, and the caddy stays in the club and will get a new life. Thank you to Indigo for a up front, straight forward, trouble free trade. So here it is | |

| What a difference that carpet makes! Tint too! Im glad to see that it lives on, and is seeing different styles in the club. FYI, the plugs/wires are just over a year old along with the opti. Why didn't I think of steelies with those wheel covers. That looks pretty decent! | |

| The roadie ones have chrome around them! Very slick. I got a set of 4 in blue if your interested mike. The wheel is from a 92 c series truck probably the same as s10. Also has the z28 gauge. Im glad you got a b body you like Bill, and an lt1 swap could happen if you wanted it too. The car is in great shape and a good candidate for replacing parts and NOT just dumping it when things go wrong. I like B's but specifically white ones.. And whats better than owning a caddy???? OH YEAH, owning TWO caddy's! I did the tints myself and I must say those are the BEST I've ever done, and with rolled film too, no pre cuts! Got a box of stuff as discussed and I also found a hood support that you requested while in the yard with Brian today. Keep them build pics coming!!!! | |

Nice, so both cars stayed in the group too that's awesome. I like the Roadmaster dash vents too, I wonder if they fit in the 91-93 dashboards...
And that steering wheel is one of my favorite wheels of all time, they came in I think the 1990-94 full size trucks...my Blazer had that one but my dad's 88 C1500 Silverado has a slightly more boring one. The S-10 one might be the same...

It is funny you mention that. We were talking about it last night. Phyllis bought them for me for fathers day back in 2008 for the Towmater, and they have been in every vehicle except the Dodge truck since. On to the car. Now that I got my Job situation sorted out, and some cash starts rolling in, I am really thinking about a single Intercooled Turbo setup like the Grand National has. I like the turbo setup because I am basicly working with what Buick and GMC had to work with in their V6s in the eighties and early nineties, just in V8 form, but similat engine size. Anyone can shove a LT1 in the car. But after many searches, I have yet to find much info on a 4.3 let alone turboing one. I am still on the fence about painting the upper half satin black. For now it just serves as my daily driver. And again I want to thank Indigo. He is great to deal with, and was very forthcoming with any issues about the car, and I hope I returned the favor. And thank you Steve for the offer. I might take you up on that, but for now, all is good. I need to figure out what I am going to call it. At first, I was thinking Gold Rush, but with a four three, it does not fit, but if I do it two tone black over gold, then Black Gold will be the name.

LOL. Thanks Bill, and yes, you hold dibs. I have to say it is not that bad. I actually found two spark plugs loose and another one with a split plug boot. I pulled all the plugs checked the gap, and re installed, and taped up the boot, and and fixed a vacuum leak. It now goes pretty good now. I also installed the hitch, connected the tach wire, moved the trunk lock to the hidden location by the plate light, adjusted the trunk lid to fit good, installed the spoiler, installed a tranny cooler, installed the full hub caps I had sitting around, and gave it a bath. I am really glad to be back in a chevy b-body. They are still my favorite. And LDM too boot.

| I dont know if you are aware, but the 4.3 is basically a 305 with two cylinders lopped off....lending to the fact that forged 305 rods and pistons work great.....
So lets pile on the boost haha

So lets pile on the boost haha Close. This is a 4.3 V8. It is a baby LT1 with RPO code L99. It does however share the piston with the vortec 5.0 305, I think it uses the cam, rods and intake from the LT1. It looks visually the same as the LT1 in every way with the acception that it has a small alternator. This car actually has the LT1 alternator. The 4.3 V6 shares it's pistons and rods with the vortec 5.7 350. And a single intercooled turbo is actually in the plans. I am thinking 8-10 lbs of boost. I would like to think it should make 325hp/375lb ft of tq. Stock it has 200hp, and I think 260lb ft of tq

Let me be the first to say nice car, now lower it. Jim DGGM is my favorite Impala SS color. New reality show. "Keeping up with the Billies" It has eibach springss in it with Bilstein shocks. I can't go any lower and pull a boat.

| So, you are going for the look I tried a few years ago? I didnt like it, but it was mainly due to the nose bleed suspension. I think, if you two tone the LDM, you should paint the steel rims one of the 2 colors with the shallow trim rings (not the deep ugly ones) and the poverty caps. | |

Matt, if you've got the picture from the 2010? Fall? Meet from newicks, post it. I have it on the computer at home.
