Anyone save me the effort of finding the easiest "key on" power wire & dimmer wire?
Gotta add a couple of gauges to the DD & figure some of you know EXACTLY what wires I want.

The ash tray light for the dimmer.

The SEO aux. fuse panel for the power, oh wait, nevermind.

From the back of the lamp switch I believe you want the blue/white for power and the grey for the dimmer. Black for ground.

I'm sorry blue and white will make it turn on when the interior lights are on,
You want a yellow wire for power going in and the grey wire goes to the dimming,

Where are these wires located?
Are you up at the dimmer switch?
I've got to jump out & look but...is that the easiest place?

According to schematics that should be at the switch. Depends on where the gauges are going I suppose.

Use one of the "add a wire" fuse taps at the radio fuse for gauge switched power.

You can run the lighting to it, too, so the gauges are always lit. Or run it to the dimmer wire at the headlight switch. IIRC, it's a white or brown wire?

Nice, thanks guys, I'll be doing the final as soon as the med gray sem shows up.
Tommorrow I'll fire them up, just want to look at that dimmer circuit, pretty sure I want that feature.

Just to finish this up in case anyone ever wants to know.

Crovo was right with the "add a wire" type tap = best & easiest.
Can be a little tight plugging into the radio fuse slot but it works great.

As far as the dimmer goes, I used the green wire on the back of the actual dimmer.
This connector comes apart real easy & allowed me to solder in a 2nd wire to feed my gauges.
One word of caution....as you add gauges (draw on the circuit) the range that can be adjusted changes noticably. I added a tach & 4 other gauges & adjustment is touchy.

I'm sure you could add a rheostat in a stand alone circuit that would work nicer if you dont mind that method.
