Make that three! I've never pulled one so I should go up and observe a bit before I do my own! Then again, I have a boat load of school work being it the end of the semester and possibly work. So...maybe!

I'm in process right now. Everythings disconnected & ready to go. Tranny coming out tomorrow. Not looking forward to trying to get at those bellhousing bolts. Consider me part of the thread jack.

Put a pan to catch the tranny fluid under the tail shaft, make sure EVERYTHING is disconnected. Remove the crossmember, and let the tranny come down as far as it will go. Now you have direct acces to the bolts with 18" extension. Make sure the torque converter bolts are all out. You will need a 15mm for those three. Tranny bolts are 9/16. You can get the two top tranny bolts from the top before lowering the transmission, then get the other four from below.

Steve, the bellhousing bolts are actually 15mm, or at least, that's what I always used. Lol. Get yourself some "wobble" extensions. They. Are. AWESOME! Will save you headaches everywhere, especially on the upper BH bolts. You can get the all from the bottom with the crossmember out and tranny hanging.
Also, unplug the wiper motor before you drop the tranny. The wiring gets super tight if you don't.
And I have no idea if I'm still doing this sunday. I hope to.

Thanks Bill, I have the wobbles & plenty of extension. As soon as I finish degreasing the firewall rash on my arm, I'll drop it. Thanks, everything is unplugged & ready, except for one pesky clamp holding the harness where it goes from driver head ground to over by the pass O2 sensor. Guess GM figured THAT's never coming out under normal circumstances...

I just remembered I'm supposed to be going to the Amherst NH car show/swap thing this Sunday. But, that means I'll be right next to Nashua by the time we leave. I don't know if I'll be behind the wheel of anything so I might not be able to just "drop in" but if I can I'll try to get the "bus" to stop by Crovo's place...lol

Looks like he expanded from his previous location. The lucky bastard has plenty of space now...
But seriously Steve what the hell are you doing there? Glen and I both want to know.

Hahaha, I forget if it was you but someone brought that up today, I'd never seen that commercial.
Forgot to mention, there was a 77ish Bonneville coupe at the swap meet with an LT1 and 4l60e in it for sale, I think it was 3 grand? Needed a paint job and had a vinyl top though.
