So I found out why it was sitting so low in the left front. I ended up doing this the other night:

Think this could be the problem?

Doh!

Now it's fixed with a new used one. Only thing is that, with one corner with 60K spring/shocks, and the other 3 have 160K, that corner now sits about a half inch higher than the rest. Doh!

Figured it was time for an update...

Anothrt Meekins Miracle:

I still can't believe the things he can do with that buffer! That paint was so dull, it was pinky-orange. Yuck. And the passenger fender and door were white where the cheap clear had failed! Amazing!

The new kicks help, too. 15x8's! Can you believe it???? Lolz.

I have ST drop springs and newer Tokico shocks in the trunk. Hope to do them soon. Also have a new top for it. Still debating on what to do with the dent...

I actually went to a miata mod day in CT this past Saturday. What a blast! I was caravanning in a line of 10 other miatae on these roller coaster backroafs through farmland.... It was awesome! I shoulda known I was in for trouble when I was the only one in the group that didn't have a roll bar! I was opposite lock through more corners than I care to admit. Snow tires FTL! LOL. Very Happy I did manage to get my stereo in it that day, so that was good. Now I have 2 speakers instead of one. Sweet.

Anyways, that's what's up for now... Wink

So the reason you didnt buff out that dent was because your buffer didnt want to?

OK...I understand that. tongue

So I was going to replace the top today. But t didn't happen. LOL. Had a lot of other stuff going on. But I did manage to do an oil change, valvecover gasket, plugs and wires, TB and MAF cleaning, and shark teeth.

Yeah. Shark teeth. Wink

Why spend money on mods if ya don't have to?

Burgandy? Really? Yeah. Really. (It was the only reddish Rustoleum I had laying around)...

Anyways... Maybe next weekend? Razz

Oh yeah, I got the exhaust straightened out today, too. I had "fixed it" a couple weeks ago because it was missing half a muffler and the tailpipe. So I had a 2 1/4" from the cat (delete) to a Summit Turbo muffler and it was the worst sounding car I had EVER heard. Obnoxiously loud, raspy, tinny... HORRIBLE! Worse than any Civic you've heard. So today I put a 27" Thrush Cherrybomb on it as a resonator. Made it 100 times better. It's still a lilttle loud, but not obnoxious anymore. And that GAWD-awful raspy/tinny high-pitched nonsense is gone! Yay!

I threw a little resonated tip on it, too. But I didn't take any pics...

Bing that I'd really like to get into Autocross, I had a weak moment and read up on miatas. Bigger guys are actually removing cushioning from the bottom and back of seats to get more room! I may end up picking up an Escort GT or something to see of I like the Autocross thing.. Looks like you're having fun with it!

I definitely want to come observe and see what it's like so I could possibly try it out someday myself..Paul it's funny but I almost went to look at a mint early 90s Escort GT with very low miles just because I wanted to get used to something with a manual...lol

I've been seeing the Miatas all over the place now too. I thought I was just noticing them more because of Bill's car, but I don't think so. Saw one with a roll bar and everything in Salem recently.

Like ANY of you are surprised at this point. Wink

And the Vee is at my friend's shop awaiting motor mount replacement. When he gets to it. Supposed to start on it next week .

All but one bolt out (rear ac compressor) on the Marshmallow and the motor is out!
