PostSubject: Wanted- 1971-76 full size GM car (B,C,E body) wiper arm   Thu Apr 12, 2012 11:50 pm

The riveted tab that the springs connect to on the underside of my driver's side wiper blade broke on the '74 Impala last fall. Haven't had to drive it over the winter, but today I needed to use it in the rain and thought I was gonna have to pull over and wait for the rain to stop, the blade can't contact the glass. Not sure it's fixable, I feel like the spring would just pull apart any repair done.

If anyone sees a 71-76 full size GM in a yard, feel free to let me know, could really use that whole driver's arm. I can get a brand new one shipped to my house for around 40 bucks but few places actually show the arm you're getting.
The wiper arm is a two arm design, there is a smaller one attached to the side that allows the wiper blade to tilt as it passes over the glass, like on a transit bus wiper arm, etc. 71-78 Eldorados and Toronados use the same windshield and components as the RWD full size cars too.

Thanks Very Happy

Yeah, but they'd probably want like 100 bucks for the thing. I have one of their catalogs so I'll take a look, lol. Smile
