| That wouldn't be advisable for as rich as your car is running. You could like, pass out. Or something. | |

I'll chance it I'm using the car as a mobile video platform in a few weeks.

| Rich or not, you'll still suck fumes in through the rear window. FWIW, a new set of Monroes will stay up on the highway (not "locked" though). | |

Why would you want to do that? Besides, your brake lights won't work with the window left open.

got those Monroes holy moly, I didn't realize how wasted my old struts were until I put these in. a single one held the window up... I put in two obviously, but one of the originals cracked me in the skull when I disconnected it.

| Be careful with the new struts on there. Keep a hand on the glass as it goes up. Otherwise, it may open so violently that the struts will pop right off the glass! Ask me how I know... | |

yeah, it's mental. The one thing I wish I had and I don't think I can get a new one without getting new tailgate glass: the little hook that holds the rear wiper

| Don't buy the Monroe ones, I got those for my RMW and am very disappointed in them. The defroster never worked reliably since I got them and one started leaking a month later. A year later the other kept binding up. | |

| Yeah, I've had a couple that I've had to take apart and sand the paint off so they had continuity for the defroster. | |

All the contacts where the parts are "stacked"... I think the end eyelet screwed off, and then the tab for the defrost, and then the body of the shock, all those contact points. Then the other end, same deal.
