Stopped by my buddy's shop today after he informed me last week of this killer deal he got. Now hes owned a white '68 Impala for a year or 2 now. He had lowered it, but the body was rotted, mint black interior. Recently he got a sweet deal on a perfect '68 body with bad frame. He paid $900 for the whole thing. Custom, paint and work already done. He swapped the frames already, he's using a ford 9" with 3.50 gears and a custom rear modified panhard bar setup, building a 400 SB, and a Muncie 4 speed. I'll have more pics and info as it progresses. He swapped over most of his interior and cleaned up the new white seats too.

Whats left of the old car

Note the FWB rims on the trailer. His GF has a had a couple d bodies recently

Not sure what happened to the pic size on the last 2. Oh well....

He wants to run a few laps at Loudon, I told him to go to the drag day. Not sure if it'll be done by then, but he works fast!

Hes had the shop for a while, a few years now. Hes only a few years older than me too. makes my life seem wasted ha. Hes got a lot of projects. A wheelie truck, some kind of Camaro, a Nova he's had forever, and a custom roll off flatbed COE 40's truck Sanford and son style. Hes had ALOT of stuff in between tho. He's kinda like the town hot rod guy to me. Very smart and willing to take risks on re inventing the wheel so to speak. he even had a dune buggied beetle at one point.
