| dropped the car off for an alignment today and have my wheels swapped over... went to pick it up and noticed that they put the rears on the front... welp... they fit at least... car tramlines like a sumbitch, but they DO fit (though I haven't tried turning full lock... so... you know, take this all with a grain of salt) it's going back on Wednesday for a muffler install so they're going to fix it. I got into a bit of a tiff with the owner... I told him that the wheels were on backwards and he was like "Why didn't you tell us they were different sizes when you dropped them off" I said "Well, I figured the tech would have seen that one set was 11" wide and one set was 9.5" wide... It's a pretty noticeable difference. | |

| 275 whats? I have 275/40/18's on my wagon on a 9.5" wheel. I have had 275/40/17's on it before on 8.5's also. Plenty of room in front on both those setups. Even lowered on Vogtlands. And... Pics? | |

| 275/40/17s on Impala wheels (which I thought were staggered 8 and 9.5"?) | |

Those are 8.5" all around. And they clear NP on the wagons, even with a 285/40.

I must be thinking of the prototype ROH 5s that were 9.5" I'd actually prefer a narrower, taller tire on my car than what is on there now

| Yeah, on a factory height wagon, short sidewalls look terrible. You want a 255/50 or 255/55 on the SS wheels for a 27" or 28" tire to fill the wheelwells. | |

| yeah, I'd get new tires if they weren't already brand new also, a 255/55 is a 'sport truck tire' according to tirerack
255/50 is more common. | |

| Yeah, I know the 255/50 is more common, and was the factory SS tire. But for wagons, where the factory tire was 28" tall, the 255/55 is more appropriate and keeps your speedo correct. I think a 275/50 is also a 28" tire. And being a sport truck tire isn't all bad, considering they are designed with the weight these carry in mind. That said, I'd run a 255/50 because they look just as good, and are like half the price. | |
