rear axle seal Empty
PostSubject: rear axle seal   rear axle seal EmptyThu Mar 22, 2012 3:35 pm

Hi everybody, I did a search but didnt find anything so.. I need to do rear brake shoes on the wife's 95 roadmaster wagon, and when I pulled the pass side rear drum its wet with gear oil. Does the rear end cover have to come off to remove the axles or do the four flange bolts hold the axle in? Thanks

Rear end cover has to come off. They are held in with "C" clips at the differential.

Thank you for the info, I think I'll tackle this one, I've done axle seals on my '55 chevy before. Should be similiar other than pulling the c clips.
