| So should I try to set one up again this spring? Or wait til fall? Should I bother with the ECIRS this time? Seems the past few years I have just been having to sponsor their trophy and none of them show up anyways...
I like running it and having us run against each other in the eliminations. It's fun and I think everyone tends to enjoy the trash talking and competition.
What do you guys think?
EDIT: Added poll

| Yeah, and if I don't bring in the ECIRS, we can race together in whatever we want. I don't have to limit it to JUST B and D bodies. If that's what you guys want, of course. | |

I'm not sure who Eric in but hes probably a dooosh! If the ECIRS guys dont show up, don't invite them! And especially not if they're all like the A-holes that attack people on the big board. If its a club drag day why not make it our club's drag day right? Just one way to look at it.

| No the ECIRS guys are NOT assholes. It's actually a great time with alot of laughs. They have thier own clique (understandable) because theyre racing & keeping points. They DON'T exclude anyone who walks in to say hello. The guys that show are the "good" guys. 2 years ago there were about 8-10, last year the weather reports stopped them. Now....that doesnt mean they like NED or will show or whatever, just my .02 I havent raced either year so my vote doesnt count I MAY have a car I'll run this year.....trying like hell to get things done

| I told a couple of my friends about this already, and while they have Mustangs (not the run of the mill Rustangs, mind you), they expressed interest in taking their cars up there depending on what day it is... Maybe I'd consider running the '74 to be funny... | |

| Yeah, the ECIRS guys are a great group. But with their lack or participation the past few years, it seems like a waste of sponsorship money to me...
It looks to me like you guys still want the drag day to happen, right? But I still don't know what way you guys are swinging. Should I add a poll?

I'm just basing what I said off of what I've heard about a good number of people on forums other than this one, some of them are brutal...for no reason! Obviously I've never met them either so I can't really make a judgement. - Matt Trakker wrote:

I'd like it to happen. It will give me an excuse to try out drag racing!

What do you guys think? God If they don't show up again I'll win I showed up and I got lucky and JR was there, had a great time. Depending my local, I'm in! As far as the ECIRS regulars go, If they were dedicated they should have showed. Don't get me wrong, DeBlasio (Big Kahuana) and the gang are a great bunch of guys, they just should have shown up. It wasn't like we had a Hurricane, jus a little rain ,but it cleared for the day as I instructed Mother Nature. And as far as anyone passing judgment on them, don't do so till you meet them or show up to one of these events.

| I honestly think that we as a clube here in NE should have a Badass of New England all GM Drag day. Don't get me wrong, I love when ECIRS comes to town, but a club only event would be fun too. Open to "Run what you brung" as long as it was built or factory badged by GM, and carries a Badass decal. |

| I'm for the GM drags too, but it would be kind of weird if someone had a Ford product and therefore "couldn't" hang out, no? Kind of like when someone's wife comes up with the couples night idea...and you're single. LOL I think people with special interest vehicles should just come hang out no matter what, independent of the general "theme" (however I realize that can lead to complete dissolution of what a group is about/Justin bringing a Ford Super Duty/Krautwagen to the roundup) | |

| I'd love to be a part of this. With my wife due to give birth to our son may 8th I really have to pick and choose what I want to attend this year. I'll keep my eye on this thread for more info! FYI if all goes well we will be putting our house on the market soon. Looking for something alittle bigger. I've been doing alot of painting to our current home. That explains my absence from the forum! | |

| It's a tuff call Bill....... I would like to go but coin is scarce....4 new tires I need first. running 15" steeleze is getting old..... the later in the season the better the chances for me... plus i know i am going to LVD on 9-8-2012 I definitely think you should do your own thing if you feel the commitment of being on the ECIRS schedule takes all the fun and enjoyment outa it for ya ! GL -ALF out... | |

| I will definately show for a drag day. I just got measured on the dyno, adjusted the PCM, and am ready for some testing.
I will be going to the track on Sunday April 14th if anyone is interested in meeting up.
Remember some of us may need a new helmet this year, I know I do!

| Maybe we could do one in the spring, and one in the fall. Host ECIRS with one, and stay solo for the other. Just throwing that out there, but I did vote. |

| Nah, I've tried two drag days a year and no one shows.
And I'm leaning more towards it just being us, open to all GM cars. No ECIRS.
