PostSubject: changing the power antennae to a whip antennae?   Mon Mar 19, 2012 9:44 am

My power antennae is stuck in the up position. I've never been a fan of power antennae. Is there a whip antennae that I can install in it's place?

Any universal one. But you gotta take the fenderwell out. Can of worms on a New England car...

Pull one from a Caprice at the junk yard, direct replacement for the power one. Lift the car up, pull the wheel, remove all the fasteners inside the wheel well and loosen the ac accumulator. That should get you enough room to get in there and swap them. Did 2 in the last couple weeks.

someone on the big board said he'd trade me my non-working power one for his non-power one.
