| Selling/Hoarding Green Silicone Hoses for a TBI car, anyone?
I need the UPPER RADIATOR HOSE, and I need it quickly.
MUST be from a 1992-1993 car.
Seriously. 1991 Hoses don't fit, no matter what the part numbers might lead you to believe.

| No, not even remotely. Seems he went by engine designation when he came up with that list of compatible vehicles, not actual application in two different bodys. This might fit a boxy car, but not a 91 and certainly not 92-93.
Thanks anyway. Wasn't someone on this forum parting out a 93 TBI just weeks ago?

I pay in DOLLARS and use a US shipping address! Unable to locate any used pieces. But, you can still buy it brand new from a NOS "hoarder". http://www.ebay.com/itm/9C1-Caprice-Upper-Radiator-Hose-Police-Package-Green-Silicone-1991-93-5-0L-5-7L-/370558970224?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item5647092970#ht_1565wt_1165 I'm not sure what could be different on a 91 as compared to the 92-93 years, but you can talk to Mike at Hamilton and ask him to clarify this for you. He is VERY knowledgable on these cars.

| Thanks, but no luck there either. That's a 91 hose, and it's the only one he's got. '91 9C1 came without a resonator on the factory air intake snorkel (well, without any snorkel, really) and a long straight upper hose. In '92 the snorkel and resonator were added to the SEO TBI cars - this required a new upper radiator hose curved to clear the resonator box. 91 hoses interfere with the resonator. Right now I have a choice of running a standard hose or loosing the intake snorkel. Both of which I don't wanna do. (Just in case anybody was going to suggest something like that ) | |

I know I'd be motivated to take off my 92-93 snorkel, tag & put it in my attic, then get a 91 air box and matching (91 only) green hose (for now) while I search for the correct 92-93 hose. It could not be so hard to find what you need to convert to 91 non-resonator intake parts, as civilian air inlets are the same as 9C1, however the green hose you seek is 9C1 only. You'd be up and running right away with parts that are obviously easier to get, it would still be 9C1 green, and you could then take your sweet time finding that 92-93 only hose. You would be spending money to make your car incorrect model year-wise, but at least it'll be OEM. I don't know if there's anyone but you (and now, us) that actually knows or cares that the parts are technically wrong for your year & model, while your search continues. Or you could paint your available black hose green while the hunt continues! Question: Is your green hose defective, or lost?

| Had a standard 93 hose when I bought it, has a 91 green hose and no snorkel right now. What you're witnessing here is the continuation of my search, not the beginning. I've already searched all the obvious sources with no results. Now I thought I'd give the parts hoarders a try. This is not a matter of getting the car on the road again, it is a matter of crossing one more thing off a very long to-do list.

| What does this hose look like? A friend in Florida just told me about a yard that has two TBI 9C1's. If I show him what the hose looks like he said he'd look. | |

| Take a look at this: That's a 91 Green Hose. For comparison, that's the 92-93 Hose on top, more curves and all. The 92-93 is what I need. Only in Green. | |

| I will send him the picture. He wasn't sure what year they were, but he said one had the 91/92 skirts. And it HAS to be 92/93 correct? | |

| HAS to be 92/93, that's correct. 91 won't fit without taking the resonator off, and 94-96 doesn't fit at all. | |

OK, I see what you mean now. As long as you're up & running, then thats understandable, but I guess you will just have to keep looking. I have to believe that you WILL find the correct one as long as you remain diligent. I spent too much time looking for various boxy parts (9C1 stuff) but I did eventually find what I needed. Persistence pays off, & I will continue look out for that hose for you. Just post here when you've found it. BTW, Are your chassis' angle braces under the engine bolted-in or welded-on. I'd guess bolted.

Bolted. But I believe "bent" would more accurately describe the RH one. That thing had a pretty rough life.

| Even though I don't know how exactly, it seems like the entire RH lower control arm was at some point somewhat carelessly removed from the vehicle, by use of something very heavy and stationary, like a building or something. Without removing the bolts first.
