| Hi All, need some direction. The interior lights are staying on in the '94 Caprice. Usually after the last door closes, the interior lights stay on for less than a minute and then go off. I'll check the door jamb switches (circuit) for shorts to ground. Has anyone ever needed to replace the interior lamp relay at the convenience center under the left front drivers dash? Does anyone know which relay it would be? Thanks for any help. -Joe | |

I'm willing to bet its a door switch. Failing that, that box that controls the lights is the big green on above the flashers under the dash. | |

| They always shut off? Mine does the same thing, but I assumed there was supposed to be a delay. | |

| Yes, they shut off after a just under a minute. The 9C1's don't have the delay box-relay, and the interior lights shut off immediately when the doors are shut. That's of course if the door switch wiring hasn't been cut by the police equipment up-fitter at time of delivery. | |

| When that happens (I'm talking most cars with the delay not just b-bodies) It's almost always a malfunctioning door switch not sensing that the door is shut. Check them first is what I'd go with. | |
