| And look what I found in there this morning! What's that? You guys will be pissed when you find out what I paid. I gotta get it painted before Saturday. I love that it looks like an old GSx hood. Perfect on the Buick! Suddenly my SS wheels no longer fit the look. | |

| It was advertised in the Auto Trader of all places, with no pic, for $200. Guy had no idea what it was, but it came with the B4U he just bought. I got it for a buck and a half. I'm pretty happy with it. Even if it's not gonna be functional. | |

| That hood is awesome.
When you repaint it you should put the "350" badges back on it, they seem to be a nice touch.

| Congratulations on the car takeover.
What did the little lady get?
Cool hood. The color combo on that hood is sweet.

Bill Thanks! I can't WAIT to tear it apart!!!! I ordered the headers and exhaust and carpet and...? last night from Summit! Yeah, the hood is MMM and satin black. Very cool combo! Oh... And the Mrs? Spoiled! 2003 Cadillac STS. Only 87K and loaded. Even has heated rear seats. Bought it dirt cheap, too! Less than half off NADA! She's happy.

Tom C. If she wasn't interested in the NICE one, why would she be interested int the rusted out beater??? - TBIFTMFPIIBW wrote:

Not sure which is which. It's the one of the two that I do like. I like this one and the one you have. Isn't YOURS a Suncoast? There's one more that I can't think of the name of, but I think it may be that one... It looks VERY similar to the SLP hood, but between the "vents" is rounder and more gradual on this one than the SLP one. I think. *shrug* I know. No help.

| It is a suncoast hood. SLP scoops come down farther toward the grill, and look like ass. |

| Yea Crovo mine is a Suncoast. The hood you posted looked a little different though, and that's why I thought it might be an SLP.
I've never seen the one you have there.

LOL! I was waiting for someone to call dibs! I'm trying to decide if I want to pay a body shop to paint it or try to spray it myself in my garage. I could borrow a gravity fed gun from my stepfather and see what happens? IIRC, they have pre-thinned single stage @ Advanced in basic colors. Are they a bad idea?

IIRC, they have pre-thinned single stage @ Advanced in basic colors. Are they a bad idea? I was thinking of using them myself. They sell them at autozone, vip and pep boys. It is the duplicolor quarts. The only problem with painting a fiberglass panel that big, is you want a flex agent in the paint. But where it has already been painted, you should be good to go. The other problem is matching duplicolors white with the marshmallow. Good luck with it. Let me know if you need any help in painting it, or getting rid of it. |

There are many, many colors of white. It its doubtful paint off the shelf at Advanced Auto is going to match. You have a very nice wagon and a nice hood, bring it to a body shop and have it done correctly. If the hood were going on Morticia that would be different.

| Try the GM paint "bright white."
They do sell it at a few places like advance auto, autozone, yada. Should match perfectly. That's what I did with the 94 anyway.

| The wagon would look great with this paint scheme. | |
