| So as I mentioned in my other post, the mechanical fan belt tensioner seized on the wifes RMW, which has reminded me that 6 months ago her secodary electric fan was running constantly and would not shut off at all. I pulled the relay from the under hood box and kind of forget about it. I think I was messing with the a/c when the fan started stayin on. Any ideas what I may have done?? thanks | |

| Not turned off the A/C maybe? A/C "On" is supposed to set off the cooling fans constantly, up to a certain speed, anyway. | |

A/C "On" is supposed to set off the cooling fans constantly, up to a certain speed, anyway. You are correct. I think after 45mph it shuts off. I would say the relay might be bad. I have never seen an LT1 overheat, and I never use A/C. The only way I have ever seen the secondary fan come on is when I force it too by unplugging the coolant temp sensor at the water pump. |

| I pulled the mechanical fan right off the RMW. No problems. I didnt pull the bracket yet as I didnt have the shorter bolts available. The secondary will cycle when sitting @ idle for extended periods of time. Dont know if thats all or just mine. | |

| A/C is off ( it is February in New England after all) besides it doesnt work. I was playing with the freon, would an overpressure cond cause the fan to run constantly? | |

| Yes. I'm not sure about the one mechanical / one eletrical setup, but the dual electrical fans will come on at 189 psi for the primary and 240 psi A/C head pressure for the secondary fan, and stay on until pressure has dropped below 150 adn 210 psi respectively. | |
