| So I have an SS spoiler for the Caprice. Have any of you guys put one on a car that did not have one before. Any tips or tricks or measurements for me to make it not so nerve wracking | |

| Maybe someone can take one off of their car and mark up a quick paper template for you. | |

If it is just 3m stick on type, just pull back the tape backing to create a little pulling flap. No more. Then once the trunk lid is clean and dry, place the spoiler where you want it. The bottom edge should almost hit the body line. Once everything is centered and lined up, pull the tape backing starting with the bottom one while applying a small amount of pressure. Once all the backing is off just go around pressing firmly. Now let it sit in the sun for a few hours. If it is a true SS spoiler with the two studs, I think you can find the template on the national forum, or google it. If that is the case, you do the same exact thing as I described above, plus drilling two holes, and painting the edges of the holes before installing the spoiler. |

| I'm guessing it's drilling the stud holes thats making him nervous. REMOVING these are a BITCH! I have pulled it off Matts car but played with the holes for a Langless lookalike so I cant give you totally accurate dimensions. If you want me to look & get it REALLY close....let me know, I'll do it monday. I think I JB Welded the original holes so I should be able to get you close. Just dont use the tape until your happy You could also check the manual to see if dim's are in there. | |

| I will take you up on that Bill. Just wanted to see if someone had an SS trunk lid that was trash for the measurements. I will give you a call when I'm ready. | |

| Well, you can check the distance between studs & then do the math to see if that centers it on the lid. If THAT works you should be able to trust the up dimension. | |

| Took some measurements on the spoilr and compared them to the diagram. It all seems to match up, so I think I can trust the rest. I will probably recheck it about 20 times before I actually drill the holes though. | |

| I know what you mean but you can adjust the holes if its a hair off. You have miles of room under there (read as fudge factor) , so dont be so worried. | |
