Mark Ross gave me a wonderful gift yesterday. Some good shape 9c1 caps! I pulled the wheels off one by one, drilled and tapped holes for these caps. They look awesome. Turning more heads today than before!

Hey Tim
Could you get out of the way? I can't see the car in the last pic. Razz

Also in the fourth pic I can not see any caps at all. So you need to remove it because it is off topic. geek J/K

Wayne,

I'm not sure that's the safest of ideas. Sounds like it's just asking to have a lug nut back itself off.

Actually I did the same thing back in the 90's with my winter tires for my ss. It worked great.

When you tighten lug nuts on our cars, they are rounded on the hub side and when they're tightened help center the wheel on the hub, as well as even out the pressure on the studs.

With washers, how can you be sure the wheel on on perfect? And even if a lug nut backing off doesn't worry you, I'd say it could also increase the risk of breaking a stud.
