| I've been reading on a couple forums about this over the last few months, sometime in I believe late summer, Compnine went down and there was a message saying it was shutting down for good.. | |

| Yep. They're done. I sensed the end was coming when they limited you to a certain amout of searches per month. Then they put up a paywall, then they were dead. Seems they were hurting for cash I guess. Wonder how much it would take to buy the VIN database and set it up as a donation site... | |

| Looks like GM PARTS East use the same diagrams as Comp Nine. The stars have aligned, again! http://www.gmpartseast.com/chevy/components/1995-caprice_automatic-transmission-oil-cooler-pipes-1b040070104-l99md81bl19.html Check prices before you buy, I would go Chris McCabe either way. | |

| It wasn't so much the diagrams being gone that I cared too much about, but the VIN decoder was the best tool ever. If I called anyone about looking at a car on CL all I needed was the VIN to figure out what the hell they were actually selling. Hopefully that kind of tool will come around again someday. | |

just send me the VIN. As long as its a GM product I can de-code it! | |
