| I'm not in a rush. I've been waiting for about 13 years. I might not even put the exhaust 'til this winter. I just had the camera as I was waliking by the parts bin.
I think I'm going to change the interior lights to red. One 9C1 we had them and so does the 9C6. This car has too many lights inside.

| Love those tires, I'm SOOOOOO sick of BFG.... I may have to burn a set off to get out of them FOR GOOD Why so slow? & I think that red lights are going to attract skanks | |

| I never seen a 9c1 with ss wheels and tires. Nice exhaust. Hooker makes a nice kit. I had that kit on my blue and white 9c1. I never understood why one of the intermediate pipes is two piece. | |

Nice exhaust. Hooker makes a nice kit. I had that kit on my blue and white 9c1. I never understood why one of the intermediate pipes is two piece. I first thought that I might like to get one of these cars (and a Z28) about 13 years ago. Well I have red lights in the 9C1 and so far it hasn't attracted any skanks. Maybe the car is the wong color. Hopefully I'll have better luck with a black car. I plan to weld the pipes and put some kind of flange on the mufflers, so I can unbolt and easily remove them. That way I can have summer and winter mufflers! I was having some trouble with the alignment and hated driving this car. I think I finally have it all good now and it's way better to drive. If it's not supposed to rain tomorrow I'll take it to work! I have SS wheels on the 9C1. It's the best option that the SSes got.

| Does anyone know what's involved to remove the huge deer on the trunk and replace it with a bowtie?
I seem to remember that someone did that but I forget who it was.

| I did it. Drill out the rivets, clean up all the dirt and sticky crap left on the trunk lid. I attached the bowtie cover by using some long hex screws, I had extra, that secure the hood grills, secured by screwing them into the clips, also from the grill, in back inside the trunk lid. Pretty easy. 5 minute job. | |

| I have used up all my spare window rollers on this car and then some.
I went to MacMulkin to get more but the building was on fire.
More than 1/2 a day later and I'm almost done. Really, there is no need to hack up a door like this to replace these! And blue tape is for temporary use.

| I had a bizarre front end alignment problem. This car has pulled hard to the right since I got it (running). It also required much less effort to turn right than left. It practically made right hand turns by itself!
After multiple attempts with my DIY alignment it got better but it was still not right. I decided to try another steering box next. I wasn't really expecting much since I had convinced myself that something else was messed up with the front end. I'm happy to report that the new steering box fixed the problem.
9C1 steering boxes FTW! I recommend them to all Impala owners.
I'm starting to like this car despite its handicap.

LOL! What an upgrade indeed. Stop it Jim. Newbies might be listening. - boojum wrote:

Your car is in a wheel chair? So where do you sit?

| Attention Newbies!Do not make a 9C1 clone out of your Imlapa. Do not use mechanic seats or cinder blocks as jack stands. Does that cover it? | |

| Since this article was bumped in a sense....
Somehow, with those 5662s I managed to already shatter BOTH my outer civi style air dams within a day of eachother. How tall is your wheel/tire combo? Not sure if you drive the impala much, but I'd like to stop breaking these dam(n) things...

| The Impala is at 26-5/8" front with the Moog 5662 and stock tires. 27" in the rear with stock springs.
It might have dropped a bit since that measurement. I put a few thousand miles on these springs.
