I'm putting the wagon up on jackstands to fix an air leak and to start ripping the front clip off, since im in there I figure now is a good time to do some engine work as well.

I want to swap to dual exhaust and wanna lose the manifolds
I have long tube hooker headers, but I'm afraid they will snap off when the car is laid out. (flanges may or may not lay lower than engine cradle)
I was gonna go with rams horn manifolds but just found a set of Huggers for like 70 beans. They are for sbc

Any down side or problems with running a hugger?
Issues with fitment on a tbi car?
Anyone have any experience with them?

Thanks in advance.

See that's exactly what I'm talking about!

Now is there no clearance to weld a 90* (or whatever) to the flange and pipe it out to the trans x-member?
Or should I be looking for something else
