| While staring at my car this am and telling myself (again) how much I love the tints I finally decided I didn't like the stainless anymore. Then with Matt's "well intended" goading on my Facebook. I finally did the inevitable: It's not as bad as I thought it would be. The studs come off pretty quick and a quick dab of spot putty fills in the imperfections. | |

No SS rims. Rally rims and cut 9C1 springs.

| WHY? It looked SOOO good with the trim! I'm sure this will look good when it's done, but it looked so cool and different with the trim on it!
Sorry, go about your business. I am sure it will look sweet when finished.

What size tires will I need to run on an 8"? Can I still do 225/75's? I'm not going to drop the rear, going to lower the front to get a nice rake going with the cargo coils I have in the back - Pooge wrote:

Doug Thanks Doug, no offense taken! I liked the trim too.... I just didn't think they went with the tint plus I always thought the car looked incomplete with all the trim and nothing in the middle. Finished grinding the studs. Just need to sand a bit and paint:

| Too bad you didn't do this before wagonfest, I would have bought that shined trim off of you instead of stripping and polishing mine! | |

| It's gonna look great, I was just loving the polished trim because no one really does it and it reminded me of the old big cars with chrome everywhere and just large and in charge. I also love a clean paint only look (like an Impala) so I am sure this will look great when it's done.

| A plain white wagon with the painted pillars and tint is pretty f'n good looking. But, if you had that chrome trim on there, it would make it very unique to most. It adds class, at the same time, it says: I'm not afraid to try something different. It could be a trend setter. But, its your build. It's coming along great. Especially that azera console. Who woulda thought. Awesome idea and it looks and functions great. | |

Did some digging online. I can run a 225/75. Let me play the "Crap I still have bills" game and get back to you. Are you going to the Fall Roundup? - Pooge wrote:

Thanks guys. Like I said, I liked the chrome trim as it did stand out. But it just didn't feel right once the woodgrain was off, really felt like something was missing. That said, I DO like the contrast it added with the white and the blacked pillars. Im currently toying with some aftermarket chrome piping. I'm waiting for a sample to show up so I can see how it looks on the car. I'm also going to take off the belt trim because its getting pretty nasty and peeling a lot. And Brian, thanks for the comments on the Azera console. I love it. It's so practical and just fits awesome in there. Got lots of questions at WF on it. I may have started something

Yes. Just got your email. I was out in the sticks today at work so my phone was useless. I'm gonna reply to it right now.

| So after about two hours fighting to fill and clean up ONE of the studs. I gave up and decided to let a professional do it. A buddy at work has a friend that runs a really small body shop. He's going to fill the studs, pull out a big dent on my right fender, paint over the studs, fix my right quarter (!!!!) and clean up the rest of the paint for $400. Also, picking up a set of 15x8 truck rallys off Glen. Going to paint them GM white and put on my trim rings. Also still waiting on the samples of the chrome piping I've been looking at. Pics to come. | |

| 255/60R15 works out to be the identical size as the 255/50R17. I had these on my wagon years ago and loved them (on 9C1 wheels). I have a set of the Suburban/van 15x8s painted black in my basement waiting for funds to by the 255/60s. I'm trying to find a picture of my wagon with those tires, but I think it was a few computers ago. | |
