I got some f'n smuck keeps texting me shit, she/he claims to know me, won't give a name, makes me so mad. Anyone work for AT&T or Cingular, Verision? I need someone to plug in a number and get me this f'er name for the cops.

did you try "googling" the number?

Yup I've done it all even tried to run it through the cops. Nothing.

my cell phone has the ability to automaticlly reject any givin number! Such as a "crazy x"!!!

It's not blocked, I have the number, I want a name to the number and I can't get them to give me the owner. Pisses me off.

Right, your phone can stop an incoming call depending if its a built in feature, however a phone company can not block the number from calling you. The only time they can is if you have a restraining order against a person connected to that number.

If it continues I will.

If I login to my Verizon wireless account I can place a 30 day block on up to 5 numbers. Not sure if other companies offer this.

can you tell the difference by looking at the number if it's a land line or cell number from a certain area?


...... In NH you can tell what part of the state a number is from by the first 3 digits
( figure its the same for Maine as you only have one area code too)......

........ might help narrow it down a bit.

It's a cell no doubt, landline the cops can trace, cells they can't.

borrow some one else's phone and call them...... pretend to be CL buyer or something

That's exactly what they are claiming. Some secret afternoon rendezvous, but nothing ads up. Heidi had a crapload of prank calls at work when She and I started dating, I think it's the same bitch. But she f'd up this time because I got a phone number, and when I confronted her about it, I haven't heard anything since. Wonder if she didnt realize her number would show. We shall see.

I'm not sure you can claim stalking. In Mass, you actually have to verbally threaten someone, putting them in fear for thier lives in addition to following and such.

You can always try and do a police report and the courts can subpoena the phone company for info on the number. We get(no offense)calls and walk-ins all the time about baby mama drama and all kinds of stuff regarding cell phones.

I think it might be illegal in the harassment category to do such a thing, but someone I knew kept getting prank calls from an unknown number like 8 or 9 years ago, took the number and posted a CL ad in the m4m Intimate Encounter section, and then wound up hearing about the pranker it was someone in their HS) having to change their phone number due to perverted people blowing up their cell phone as a result of aforementioned ad.

I think we got it, I made a call, confronted them. It was somegirl whom I had a fling with(not a sexual one either, thank god "crazy bitch comes to mind") who's having troubles and home and thought id drop everything. I told her Heidi was my soul mate and to leave me the frig alone. I havent heard another word. Thank heaven. Crazy wacko bitches.
