So, I got a new remote. I went to jump the 'programming connector' but I couldn't find it.
it's supposed to be the only cable not connected to anything, right?

I assume that box is the receiver.

Not sure about the jumper, but that is the box for sure

It should be a pigtail hanging near that box. Follow the wire from the small connector.

I thought you programmed it by jumping terminals in the DLC?

all the bits and bobbles I've seen show like a cable hanging out near the tail light.

I had to program the fob on my first wagon. The connector was near where the shock for the rear window connected to the D pillar. You have to peel the plastic trim back from the rubber gasket on the D pillar on the drivers side. That's where it was for my old wagon. (95 roadmaster) It's a small black connector with just enough room to jam a paperclip into it. As soon as I pulled the plastic back it popped out.

Hope this helps. I don't have a picture handy right now.

cant see it all but in your pic there is a small skinny black wire follow it, i belive thats the one. looks like its behind the purple wire next to the 2 grounds. looks as if someone pushed it in that hole in body behind tail light.
