injector o-rings Empty
PostSubject: injector o-rings   injector o-rings EmptyWed Sep 14, 2011 3:40 pm

So I replaced a leaky injector on my son's 96 SS and when I put the fuel rail back on fuel sprayed out of the top of 2 other injectors at the rail. I took it back apart and the two injector orings had split. I picked up a set of 8 o-rings and they seem to be a different color (material)?? Is there a right and wrong way to put the rail back on? I left the injectors in the intake, put the o-rings on the top of the injectors and pushed the rail down onto the injectors, then sequentially tightened the 4 rail hold down bolts. Is there a better way? Should I lube the o-rings?
Thanks for any and all help
