well, you know what they said about the Nurburgring: it was a track designed by Nazis to be driven by Jews. |

| yeah, I know, I'm just busting your balls. clutches in those things are such a pain in the dick to do though. actually, the original 924 (the 2.0L) has an Audi 3A "bubble block" in it. We used to use those to do up displacement in the 1.8Ls without changing the deck height. The later VW 2.0 ABAs were about 10mm taller and required custom exhausts or downpipe spacers to clear the firewall in Rabbits and Sciroccos... a friend of mine has a 924 with an Audi AAN (2.2L Turbo 5 cylinder, same as my car). Bolts right up. That being said, the later 924S 2.5 is a faster car than the stock 944 with the same motor, mainly due to being MUCH lighter. I have an original 924 steering wheel in my basement somewhere. Was gonna put it on my old GTI, but never did. I've worked on an original 924 Turbo. Learned a lot about tuning turbocharged cars with CIS from that car. Was able to apply a lot of what I learned to helping turbocharge VWs later on down the line. Another friend of mine has an original Callaway Turbo Rabbit. the 924 GT is a pretty sick beast though. Has the same front fenders as the later 944, but the rear fenders are bolt on flares and they look so much more boss than the 944 Speaking of a Boss 924... this thread's pretty much cooked as it is, might as well pretty it up a bit, yeah? |

I thought so lol that's why I didn't want to get mean with my post haha but yeap the original 924/924 turbo and the 924 CGT was a 2.0 turbo only the lemans version saw a 2.5 turbo, I'm actually collecting parts from a wrecked 944 turbo and gunna try to convert mine to a 944t driveline I got a chance to drive the 944t and they are very quick so I'm curious to see what that engine will be like with 924S gears and less weight, I love the look of the Carerra GT's and if I ever have the money I'll fake up mine and It may weigh less as the body kit replaces everything with fiberglass. And I'd say Grumpy your probably right Now a LT1 in a 944/924... |

| yea an Aluminum LS would be the dream but I have Access to an LT1 but there's alot of mods to compensate for the OMFG torque and power, but if the trans axle on this car i'm parting is any good I think it would hold up to a stock LS for a little bit without doing to many hole shots |

| Actually the topic is....GFY isnt it? I think MEGA just wanted to post up that witty little emblem never thinking it would awaken attitude "insert Donkey emoticon here"I like it better as a car thread....I like porsche, audi & rocket launchers however, I dont like the total disrepect for the law in that video, luckily it was British law so I'm overlooking it....
