| took the impala to the track last night to see how it would do with the new tranny and stall. havent done the gears yet but i wanted to get on the track this year atleast once. ran a 14.2 last year. somehow ran a 14.3 and 14.4 last night?? deff. disapionted. was hoping to see a 13.99 on the board atleast. but the nitto drag radials didnt hook up very good so my 60' was still a 2.03 same as last year.. iam hoping with the 3.73s and better drag radials ill get in the 13s | |

Adding 3:73's & better drags should shave a few decimals off your times, not to mention throwing out the spare tire so to speak. | |

| Don't forget that temperature and density altitude can greatly affect your ET.

| weight wise iam a hell of alot lighter than last year. i was 4160 last year. since then i droped the hood for fiberglass, gutted the trunk, got rid of the manafolds and cats for long tubes. and had the whole back seat out.. iam taking off the ram it intake and goin back with my k and n intake. i dont think it pulled enough air.. | |

| The only place the stall converter will help you is on the launch, without heads/cam/gears if may hurt ya big time on the other end because the converter is slipping more, causing less HP to the wheels. The gears should help to get the motor out of lower RPM's where it's getting converter loss. | |
