| The guy who did the LT-4 heads and Crane cam, boxed and seam welded the frame, and the Koni's, Eibach's, DMR frame braces, ZQ8's, 1 3/8 front and 1 3/8 rear sways, Airlift #60733's and quick ratio steering box, and removed the rubber snubber that was screwing up the pinion angle on Ron Cliffords car. Your welcome Nick | |

| OK Copied from my thread on "soft springs and Koni's"
Three of my cars have a fully seam welded, boxed, honeycombed frame with added cross members front and rear. I can't quantify if or how much this modification improves the handling of the cars. Makes sense that it does something positive but the real, dramatic difference is in perception. All of them feel more immediate with faster steering inputs and an agility that makes them feel feline quick while also feeling like a much heavier, all of one piece, car. Heavier in the "chiseled from a block of stone" sense, while driving like a smaller, lighter car in agility. My 94 Impala was built by Specialty Vehicles International, a Colorado firm, long gone, that started exporting modified 94 Impala's to the middle east for $100,000. There first step was to remove the body to do the frame as I wrote above, then install Brembo brakes with 15 inch rotors, Polished Chrome wheels, 4.10's, T-56, Paxton SC and a jillion other parts for rear wheel HP of between 385HP without SC to 555HP with SC, depending on the engine package ordered. My 94 has 21,000 miles on it and drives like a brand new AMG, at 18 years old. Guy who sold it to my father was getting divorced and sold it to him for $15,000 with two sets of SS wheels. Better to be lucky than good. That car convinced me to do my own welding on my other cars.

| Matt saw the 96 Caprice that was the 2005 East Coast Impala Race Series Championship winner back when it was a 335 HP car. Since the it's become a 427HP @ the rear wheels 383 with my favorite of all time carbon fiber drive shaft and the suspension everyone will be getting tired of hearing about by now. | |

| Starting Sunday, Afghanistan for the next year, or less if the political will dictates. My home and duty station is in Toano, Virginia and I have a small farm in Bradford (Haverhill), Ma. that I lease to a local CSA farmer and use the farm house part of every summer. Having the farm in production takes the property taxes to almost nothing, and is a great escape from heat and humidity of S.E. VA. where the heat index was 115 yesterday | |
