| Headlights, corners, and bumper all removed. Gotta strip the entire bumper support, but have to wait for more por15. Finished cleaning and painting the front of the frame rails. Touched up a few spots with rustoleum. My smoothed tail lights came in today!!! I just got done putting new silicone on some buckets and affixing the tail lenses. They look amazing!!!! Well worth the money. Also aligned the new hood properly. Now it shuts correctly. | |

| Front end finished. Heres how it sits with the Moog Z28 5662s in the front and Suspension techniques in the back. Still about 300lbs of stuff in the trunk there are stock isolators in the front on top and no isolators in the rear...yet. | |

| Steve, eventually the whole car will be that way. But low usage and no road salt in its former life lets me relax and not worry about getting it done too quick.
Matt, lol @ the Vic. It's been that way for a couple weeks. It only gets driven about 100 miles/ week, so I've been kinda putting it off. Went to town fair not too long ago... Long story short, as you see, it's still losing air. They suck!

It'll always leak | |

| Everything in the front is back together minus the drivers side rubber divider between the condenser and the bumper (if anyone has one, let me know), battery hold down, bumper and grill (swapped the old bumper on with the SS grill for now), and CAI. I did fix the inop horn problem and adjusted the PRNDL cable to work with the blazer shifter. removed the SEO fuse box for now and found a loose tan wire that when you ground it, the interior lights turn on. Pushing the door jamb cancel switch does not interrupt power to the circuit tho. I did install (1) roadmaster seat today. I just swapped the manual rails. VERY comfy. I NEED ANOTHER FOR THE PASSENGER SIDE!!! KEEP A LOOK OUT!!! New air dam installed. Its amazing what they look like not all bent out of shape! | |

| Wow Brian, the car is coming along nicely! I lost tract of the build for a bit, but just got myself current. Way to go! I love the smoothed/cleared tails! And I like the hood. It looks like the one on my GMC kinda, with the teardrop shape. I've never seen that one before. Which one is it? You're doing a Hell of a job! | |

| Thanks Bill! I bought from a wholesaler. I forget who makes it. The name should be on the box I use to lay underneath lol. It fits perfectly too. Which is a big plus. I had never seen it before either. I stumbled upon it one day while trolling the web. It is steel. I wanted to avoid carbon fiber and glass. | |

| This car is turning out beautifully! I tried to text you yesterday but there is an 87K mile RMS at Hollands in Billerica non limited, TBH idk why it's friggen there! BUT It has those seats, but they are light blue not dark. They are VERY nice especially the passenger and would be worth dying. Keep the ball rolling! | |

| Thanks. It was a cheaper alternative to the street trends b.s. and waaaay cheaper than sun coast. I didn't want a cowl hood to begin with, but after a month of back and forth on it, I didn't care. I didn't want to step on anyone's toes who may have a cowl hood already. But like you see, it's a little different, and a modest alternative. | |

| New seats are in finally! Replaced some trim screws and the seat track covers. Thanks again for spotting that Matt! Life saver! Heres the factory 9C1 solution to moving the passenger seat over 2 inches. Seen at top. 2 offset brackets that actually make the seat about 2 inches taller than the drivers as well. I did not reinstall this. regular manual seat track from an rms at bottom. | |

| Glad you found your seats. Those are the same ones I got out of Indys RMW part out (you were there that day) Didnt realize it until I just looked at the pic. Gotta break down & put them in before winter, I'm sick of having the heated seat switch jag me in the arz every time I get in Are you going to do the back seat too? Cant remember if the wagon rears fit in a 9C1 | |

| I purchased from different yards about 2 months apart. The one I got from Hollands today was $37 with tax.
I'm on the fence with the rears. I spent 2 years looking for a mint 9c1 rear vinyl seat ( which Jim had ) to replace the cloth tbi era rear seat they threw in. So, honestly, I would say no. I'm happy with what I've got ( for now ).
The drivers 60% and armrest is still in there along with the rears in good shape. Matt go snatch the rears at least.

| Haha nice-
I don't NEED seats, so I was putting it off, but I "want" the RMS ones like you have, front and back. Was that 60% driver's part of the split bench in nice shape too? I can wait for a good passenger seat, I'd grab the back one too.

| ^Understood- I may take a look tomorrow before I start the brake job on the Caprice (have to drive to Malden just to do brakes, lol). It's funny the crap you find in those cars there, I will admit I have taken quarters just laying out in plain view. I cut myself on the dash of a car at Hollands and was bleeding kinda bad, searched 3 Cadillacs until I found a whole box of those disinfecting first aid wipes and used a couple to treat the wound...took the rest of the box and put it in my car. | |

| POR15 six pack came today. I ended up buying 20 sponge brushes at Micheals for $1 too. I took her around the block for her maiden voyage Sunday. Rides and handles great! No check engine lights so far, so that good news! First time being driven in maybe 4 or 5 months. Now I can move on to fixing up the rear of the car. Shocks, spring isolators, extended upper and lower control arms, strip/paint etc. I slapped the old bumper support, bumper cover, lowered grill support, and the SS grill back on for now. The new bumper is close to being "finished". I've been lazy. I also tried this "mod" out. I'll have to get a pic at night time. | |

Lmao. Trust me, no matter what us bubble caprice guys do, we're obviously cloning something... Smh If we put a grill or spoiler, it's an ss clone. If we install certain OEM 9c1, we're trying to impersonate an in service police car. I've found a happy medium. I don't like it. I was thinking about slapping the old push bar back on this setup for car shows, but that's 2 steps in the wrong direction for me. New tires should be here in a couple days. Im pretty excited to see all of this bolted up together. I may make the fall round up. I'm certainly happy it doesn't look like the first picture I posted anymore.

Moving along nicely, If you wanna buy a big pack of spring isolators (if it would be cheaper for you) I'd buy some off of you. I need to get some for the future! Thanks Matt! That tire had 10psi when I finally aired it up on Sunday. Funny you mention the isolators just now. I did some web trolling and found a link on the national forum. I bought 4 rear isolators for $26.40 shipped USPS. They are stock moog black rubber replacements and cross reference the GM part #. Rms auto parts is the place. Super simple and easy to buy from. eBay really only has poly stuff. No thanks. Anyway, rms auto part #K6203-2 $4.75/ea x 4 ( top/ bottom ) = $19 even The rest was shipping. Ups was too much $. I'm sure the driver is sick and tired of seeing me. He came Tuesday and is coming Monday with my new tires! I hope that rant helps.

Stupid thing tho, I was unscrewing the rocker panel piece, stepped back and kicked over the damn paint can. Now my driveway won't ever rust. EVAR!
It's ok tho. I've got 5 more cans!

| Not much progress. I finished up the por15 job on the drivers side (for the most part at least). New tires came today!! Gonna try and get them mounted up to the new wheels tm. Thanks again for dropping the discount tire direct name. I got these hankooks for a steal IMO.
I decided that I'm gonna run with the wheel well trim now. It gives that distinct B body line to the car. So, I painted them and they look pretty nice now.
Im gonna take my exhaust to a shop to be done correctly. Huge pita for me trying to do it on the concrete.
