| Due to popular demand (from a few members) im gonna post the Truck build on here till I find a D body I like. its a 1986 c-10 custom deluxe BASE mode 6' stepside. maunal everything with NOOOOOO upgrades. bought it out in Chicopee, MA a few years back for $800. -Sold it to my father as payment for a loan he gave me to buy that DGGM 96 I had -He sold it to my buddy, who ran the motor with no coolant and literally cracked the engine block down both sides- FAIL-After replacing the 305 with another 305 he then ran that motor with no oil and ruined the bottom end- DOUBLE FAIL-I bought this truck back for a steal! - WINand i think its time it gets the attention it needs!! heres what im starting with

| so the first thing thats gotta go is those darn rusty floors started cutting the outside rocker to get access to the inner rocker and the floor utimately realized this whole lower side of the cab basically needs to be removed/replaced so off came the drivers door and fender to access cutting out the cancer and got the drivers cab corner cut out as well the more I dig the more I find (but isnt that how it always works????) | |

| got all the cancel cut out of the drivers side (or ground out) but before i cut the floor out i welded in the new inner rocker to retain the spacing and support heres after the floor was cut out and new one mostly welded in, had to cut a few thin strips to make up the difference (i got tin snips to work with.... cutting sucks) and with the new outter rocker tacked in.... coming along Nice! if the damn weather would stay nice for a few consecutive days I'd get a heck of alot more done! | |

| bed is now off, got it sold to a guy in west MA... swapping in a fleetside bed I picked up for $300 this will make notching the frame and installing the 4 link REAL easy! waiting to pull the motor before i start working on the air bags, the engine cradle is rotted and so is the passenger upper a arm. as mentioned above I just picked up a whole front frame section for $50! so just gonna swap out the whole cradle assembly In the mean time doors got shaved handles/locks/mirrors (left handle on passenger side for now, sick of climbing through the back window to pop the latch) still need some filling/sanding/smoothing out, but on their way! also 80% finished the drivers cab corner (and yes the gas tank was still in truck when I welded floors and the corners ) | |

| not much to post this week, just being lazy.... I finally got the engine cradle dropped out of the donor frame and pulled the 305 and transmission out. also got the floors 99% done and installed the new carpet and bench seat also picked up a NV3500 4 speed with OD .....AND finally scrubbed the engine from the caprice down to be able to paint. BEFORE: AFTER: amazing what a little paint and polish accomplishes | |
