for the past month or so my caprice (lt1, 118k) has felt low on power and has a very subtle and intermittent surge/chugging at low RPMs. it seems to have trouble getting out of low rpms when under load, but once its above about 2k it feels fine, but still very down on power. my neighbors $800 scanner gave me no codes, nothing wrong with the engine at all, everything seems to be functioning perfectly. transmission doesnt seem to be slipping or anything either. to make it more confusing i removed my AIR pump solenoid (not that it matters the air pump sounds like it has marbles in it when i removed it to do my water pump) this threw a check engine light and it ran better than ever for about an hour then went right back to feeling sluggish. (the solenoid is back in now to get rid of the check engine light) everyone thats driven the car says it feels fine but i know its lost power. any thoughts anyone? thanks....
