Matt, nice pick. Rugged looking trucks.
Indie, I would inquire, but I need a family car as well. It would work out great if 2 things weren't a problem.
1- Winter is here and I don't think that truck would work too well in a blizzard.
2- NO ONE will trade(or buy for that matter) a 4.3 caprice.
Jus sayin

Thanks man! I wish I owned one of them though!
LOL Don't be so hard on the 4.3 caprice! I think it'd be an awesome plow truck!
Too bad it isn't summer that'd be a sweet little runner!

So I'm assuming that that contraption is a class 8 car??? Is it for desert racing?

Yes and no. Score class 8 is the 2WD truck class. But as far as I know, rwd full size cars can be used as well. And yes. It is full on balls to the walls flat out 100+mph on the desert.

I was wrong. While looking for footage of larry Schwacofer's 55 Chevy, that I used to admire, I found this video. It was Class 6, not class 8. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PqSqg8yD26E&feature=related https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I3ZEwo7Sn1A https://2img.net/h/i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb169/dislocated1/DSCF0077.jpg Now I just need a donk and dump the 26" wheels for some 285/75/16 Baja Claws on 16x9 alcoa wheels.

Ughhhhh more donk-speak! That word should be banned! Any lift kit for a "donk" to me is just gonna raise the body and make the thing tip over, from the way they look donks have the be the worst handling vehicles contrived in the history of the automobile aside from that thing with the huge caterpillar tracks that was used to move the NASA space shuttles.
Maybe it would work though? When I think lift kits for Caprices I think of some ridiculously poorly designed crap that does nothing but raise a car not designed to be raised:
